Update: By disabling the Positioner tuner #3 - NN will ZAP to Recording channel if it has no other tuner. This works 100%. But I still use my positioner , so I do not want it disabled. Basically looking for a feature in the Tuner setup where I can select if the tuner can be used for recordings or not. Would this be possible?

Hi all I have DM8000 latest image 4.0.11 with an additional Tuner DVB-S2 that is connected to my Positioner. 2 x factory fitted tuners connected to fixed dishes using separate LNB1 and LNB2 Problem is that when viewing and recordings start sometimes recordings happen at the same time and the box then selects Tuner3 and tries to move the dish for recordings. I don't want the box to use Tuner3(LNB3) for recordings.(it cant move dish to face that satellite) Is there some way to prevent the box usin…

Do you have a USB flash drive fitted and have you used the "Flash Extender" ? this give you mare Flash space to load the image. Otherwise you must download the LEAN version of 4.06 and do normal web flashing.

Hi all They mention better handling of USB devices - but I still dont see a driver for my PCTV290e DTT2 USB stick. Still only picked up as a "High Speed" device. Any ideas as to work around to get this device working as we need a DTT DVB-T2 device. Thanks AVR

Hi Been waiting over a year for a Stable release - just use the daily un-stable. t is pretty good. At least you will get some experience with setting it up.

You should be able to plug in after booting - go check dmesg and it will tell you if it is using ttyUSB etc.

Yes it seems we lost it again - Same happens and epg.dat is not being updated by the crossepg pre-startt hooks. More DMM isuues I think. May as well downgrade again.

So no rsponse means no-one else has this problem? What will be the best work-around? Can I de-mux the mkv and then convert AAC-LC to AC3 Which FAST transcoders can be used?

Hi Have Pirates of the Caribbean Blu Ray rip with AAC audio - but the audio just produces a high pitch screech... VLC show codec info can the Media Player not handle this Audio codec? btw the 2nd Audio stream works - but it is Hindi

Any solutions guys - why can I not tell NN to use a custom PID? Anyone??

Hi How can I force NN to use custom PID's I have used Dreamset and Dreambox Edit to change service details to use custom PID's. Then it get Uploaded to DM500 and re-loaded but when selecting channel it does not use my custom PID? Whats going on? Is there a file containing PID's somewhere?

Hi Would like to see a option in the Timer where I can set the number of weeks to record a series. Like record weekly for 11 / 12 weeks etc. This will stop recording after the last episode and not fill HDD with others. Also... Can the Time setting not be checked against the EPG - sometimes the programs moves time slot Great image guys

I found that I had to un-install the Plugin extension - 2sub and 2subconf It seems that 2sub does not install properly and you end up with 2sub running all the time un-install reboot and it was gone. sub-titels on Yellow - Yellow is a different - part of NewNigma

Every channel with sub-titels is showing text automatically. I press Yellow button and then again to show sub-titel menu , BUT I can't find a "SWITCH OFF" selection. How can I SWITCH OFF sub-titels? AVR
