USB tuners has stoped working before when DMM made some changes. Then we just had to wait for a while, and then it worked again with new drivers. There is a few different software packages and plugins for USB DVB-T tuners. I prefer the Sundtek USB DVB-T/C tuner and their drivers, its the only one that also work with DVB-C

It might work, it might not. It depends on the chipset in the USB DVB-T tuner. Do you know the "USB ID" of the usb tuner? Sundtek tuners are a safe choice, they even have a irc channel and can give support via skype.

Plugins/addons are the same for DM500-S,C and T

Original Smargo's can have both designs. The first original once had the rounded design. The newer original once have the arrow design. The once with arrow design are thinner, so that its easyer to have more of them in a USB hub. The thing you should look at, is the cardreader inside the Smargo. I have two of the newer Smargo with arrow design, same sticker as the fake. They are original, bought from a dealer that gets them from agrolis.
