trying to install media portal on a dreambox 800 HDpvr used putty to login on dreambox image is on the dreambox in tmp map cd succesfully to map to do install install fails because of 8mb flash remaining installed flash expander usb drive formatted to EXT4 with Gparted under ubuntu flash expander sees the drives but upon aktivation it crashes and with it the entire image goes into a reboot i tried this with both a 4gig usb drive and a 150mb drive same result what am i missing here ? btw image is…

setting up NAS and other dreambox hard drive through the network browser this used to work with 2 OK clicks through the network browser first setting up the NAS click ok no user name or password then setting up the share/media file click ok no username or pasword still not working with 4.0.2

found it on ubuntu it does not show on network places on windows it does but clicking on it gives me this not sure wat to do with it do i need to do something with tivo? edit= it does show up on the PS3 ! and can play movies from it

i have image 4.0.1 and installed under additional packages "mini dlna setup" restarted and both mini dnla setup and minidlnaserver show installed in the package list but nothing shows up in the plugin menu ? i have a home network with Ubuntu pc , windows pc , PS3, and denon AVR network capable on it so it would be nice the have the dreambox show up on all the hardware an "HOW TO" would be nice

may i thank you for yor response i did not get the board notafication message it,s stays stuck endlesly in boot up with the dreambox boot message i went back to an older image that does work

i installed a fresh image 3.3.2 and it,s get stuck during boot up giving shutdown succesfull

i installed this image to see how it would work but i can,t get the network browser to mount my NAS it,s a DM 800 pvr with the older images it never was a problem browse network click on the NAS do not use a username or password select the folder to mount do not use a username and password click ok and everything was set now a red cross stays with the folder image anything changed in how to set this up ?

normally after installing sambaserver it would show up after restart in windows network locations can,t remember if this was before or after mounting the drive with the network browser anyway after upgrading one dreambox to 3.2 they both no longer show up in network locations they are both assigned a different network name the other dreambox still has an older newnigma version but also does not show anymore in network locations

keine meine dreamboxen dm 800 pvr schauen sich am windows netzwerk weil voorher sie beide ohne probleem functioneert haben ich glaube es ist passiert nach eine dem lasten update,s from windows ( XP ) mucht gerne wissen oder andere personen dasselbe hatten
