The EMC version that was came with 4.0.12 upgrade was "enigma2-plugin-extensions-enhancedmoviecenter - 1.0git20150106-r1". Hi Skipper Don't know... Just saw the 4.0.12 EMC package name did not have a name related to a version like you describe. To answer I have to reinstall the faulty package from 4.0.12 and check it more in detail (Why is it not in feed.newnigma2.to/stable/4.0/dm8000/ ?). You could probably upgrade package by package instead of in one command. But I think it is easier to revert just EMC afterwards. And this method seems to have no drawbacks. A note.. Hi Just upgraded from 4.0.11 to 4.0.12 om my DM8000. After that it crashes when deleting videos in EMC. Every time.... Then it restarts the GUI. After the GUI restart the TV picture is locked at the same size and position as it had in the EMC view. A reboot solves the malformed picture. But entering EMC and delete a movie and it crashes again. Changing from my Newnigma2-HD skin to dream box default skin makes no difference. Hi I have used raspbmc on raspberry for a long time with an enigma client against my DM8000. It has been running flawlessly. Now... lately I have had the raspberry running 24x7 as it draw very little power. However, the DM 8000 with 4.0.11 image has been starting to freeze. This happens at least once per 48 hours. It is for sure related to that the enigma client is connected at all times instead of just a few hours at a time. Maybe it is a memory leak and eats up all memory in the DM8000. As the…

As there is no advanced file locking needs I would use NFS as it is much more efficient. Using NFS will probably put much less CPU on your boxes. I have a lot of different mounts on and between Dreamboxes, low cpu powered Raspberry pies, linux and BSD servers. NFS always turns out to be way better (good performance and low cpu usage)... But... Hi I run image 4.0.1 0201-40-50 om my DM8000 Saw that the 4.0.10 upgrade must be done through the console. Do I expect to download a 4.0.10 tar.gz to the box, unpack it and update with opkg in a terminal or what ? Or is it simply the fact that 4.0.10 must be installed from scratch with bootp ? If so.. Yes. That is how I do it at home. The "Dreambox live" iphone/ipad app has support for using a different user than root as I requested it by its creator (that listened...). And my kids use a std user without root when streaming with VLC from their computers.

Hi The dreambox split the EPG info in two parts (my other non dreambox don't) when the EPG text is more than 255 characters. You can still see all info if you click "info", but there is an empty row in between of the two sections. But as you can see on the channel list it shows only the last part. IF the text is less that 255 characters is all shows ok. This applies to ALL themes. So it seems to be a general Dream Multimedia or NewNigma2 problem.
