Hello all. Funny to see messages of me from a few years ago. Meanwhile i'm a satisfied OScam user. I have just a question. Since a few months we have a oscam-fpu version specially for HD Dreamboxes. Then OScam is running on the Floating Point Unit chip and not the central processing unit. I really prefer that on our HD Dreambox, because the cpu is not that heavy (like 450MHz dualcore). Today i updated over ssh (busybox) with computer. I use Newnigma2-unstable for DM8000. Source Code (3 lines) Worked ok here.

I'd the same with other image (OE+GP). What my solution was: don't forward portnumers from internet to Dreambox. And if you do, only do https (port 443). Activate in webinterface config (menu > plugins > webinterface) enable https access (check port 443) enable https authentication enable streaming authentication. Then it's ok. It's working, but same issue as rytec his plugins. epg don't use downloaded info of crossepg..(on hdd i see new_epg.dat)

After installing cross epg, exit 0 is at correct place. Issue is that /usr/crossepg/crossepg_epgmove.sh is completely missing. If i got it working, i'll make a short rytec epg howto in english.

I have this issue too. Rytec is working properly (because it works on older newnigma2 image, and it works on other images). It has to do with how newnigma2 reads the new_epg.dat file that rytec stores. (or issue is newnigma 3.3.2 don't read it). The epg from the channels itselves(by satellite) is only a few hours ahead, while xmltv epg (like rytec0 is at least a whole week, so better for programming.) with the command reboot you can restart the complete device. Did you know: when logged in with telnet, press twice the TAB button, and you see all supported commands. (this because an enigma2 device has less shellcommand support then a Linux desktop/server.)

Check your pm.

If you've a BCM4505 tuner inserted, then do blindscan. Then you really find what is transmitted on that position. (blindscan doesn't work if DM8000 has 2x BCM4501 tuners, a BCM4505 is nessesary)

I think you send the question to wrong person. But what i think: what tuner type did you use, is your dish and lnb correct adjusted(so that it receives the signals strong enough). Here it works good, i use BCM4505 tuner in DM8000.

How is the situation of xmltv import (rytec). When does it work on newnigma2? Crossepg is incredibly mega huge slow compared to rytec xmltv import plugin.

Thanks all. It worked like a charm. Reason why it went wrong at my side was: FTP client transfer in acsii mode instead of binary. That's why oscam get corrupted each time i transfer the fresh downloaded oscam. Awesome to use the most recent OScam, now i know all new type of settings are working 100% ok. (used to prevent the new function of canaldigitaal smartcard that go on block when using more then 4 decryptions at same time) Best oscam is....from the source, the OScam download center.

I'll try tomorrow. Guess what happen....Old hp pavillon slimline pc, cpu fan stop rotating, but i didn't realise. CPU and everything around it burned/melt ! Wohoooo, a classic meltdown. I also follow those instructions. Also put config files in /usr/keys/. Also right permissions (oscam 755, configs 644). Also oscam webif is not accessable. I must do something wrong. But i'm happy it's easy to load oscam from newnigma2 feed. It's not uptodate, but it works.
