NewEnigma very slow on all channel list in DM8000

    • NewEnigma very slow on all channel list in DM8000

      Hi.
      I am using the NewEnigma on my dm8000 from 10 months. The problem I see in all NewEnigmas released in this time. Because I do not see any improvements , I decided to ask about it here.

      My dm8000 is rev 1.2 (12.2009), I am using it with network disk over cifs, the softcams I have used by this time were newcs, mgcamd, cccamd, gb, oscam.
      The setting I am using is from cajton for all sats. I have toroidal dish with 18 lnb-s for this number of sats , managed all using some diseq-s switches.

      The problem is if I am selecting list of all channels (red button).
      Change channel : press button, wait, see spinner, wait, see openned channel (~15s), change to next channel , press button, wait, see spinner, wait, see openned channel, press buton "down" wait, see spinner, wait , see window with channels.
      Change position on channel on this window is standard quick (very strange) , select channel here and press ok, wait, see spinner , wait, see channel. Each step need 10-20 seconds.

      What is a problem with it ? Dm8000 has very quick CPU. Why ~4 thousands of channels makes it no usable ? Each other firmaware (not new enigma) is here much more quick. No more than 5 seconds for the slowest one.

      Is a chance for change it in New Enigma for better (faster) working ? All list I am not using very often, but sometimes I have to build or edit favorites lists and working with all list is need.

    • 1. does your services list is virgine, not damaged by autoupdate function?
      sometime Enigma2 adds services from wrong orbital position, for that reason i keep empty firsts inputs of diseq switches

    • EMP-Centauri VIPER 8/1 version 2 (diseq 1.2) and axings 4/1 (diseq 1.1).

      I am using ready cayton setting each time . I am adding 3 my own favorite lists from my old cayton to new cayton setting.

      I prefere installing new enigma by flashing the box, not by the software update.

      I have to add, none of shorter lists generate this problem. Only the list with all channels.

    • I Have the exact same problem

      Hi

      I have the exact same problem On my DM800
      I first notices it when I updated from an OE15 version of newnigma2 to OE16
      And I have it in every version since then ,

      I always used Cajton settings for years
      And I think that his settings are the problem .

      I did get a chance to test his settings o my DM800 using several other images
      from other groups and all had the same issue with the log lists .

      Did you ever got it solved ?
      Did you find a settings list like cajton that does not have the problem ?

      Or did you fins some other software that works good with cajton ?

      I prefer to use cajton over newnigma2 , so no mind using other images ,

      I created the 2 files placed them in /etc/enigma2/
      Chmod them as yoo orders
      And after running the command sh lamedb_set_inversion.sh
      I got the error you see below .

      to fix it for unix style use commands

      That is so strange the file was not in the zip ,
      The command to it worked from telnet.
      I copied both files again now using a proper FTP clinet like FileZilla
      CHmod them as required and run the dos2unix commands on them.

      And then I run the /etc/enigma2/lamedb_set_inversion.sh command again,
      And this time it worked , it run and finished with no error , I can't check now if it helped - will check later to day and update.

      Now I did notice something strange that I did not notice before ,
      When I used FileZilla there is on other file named "lamedb" that has a size 0 ,
      Is that ok/normal . this file can not be deleted , even if I try Filezilla say command success , but the file stays there .
