      Hello to all.

      First of all, I must say that I am very pleased with the NewNigma Image. Very stable & complete. Great work NewNigma team. :]

      I now need some support. I have downloaded the OpenVPN from the Addon menu. I would now like to activate it. But I can't find it in the OSD menus nor in the tree menu via ftp. ?(
      Where can I find it in the root menu or what command must I execute for it to be activated? :rolleyes:

      There are no menu entries. You need config files for OpenVPN (/etc/openvpn).
      But this is not really easy. You must generate a key for host and client.

      I started a howto in this board, but it is in german and after I got no response I stopped it.

    • As my own threat started for this subject was closed, without giving me the right to answer or to communicate to others how to do it (and yes, OpenVPN is not for beginners), I will post here what you have to do in order to make it work.
      After download and installed the OpenVPN, after you generate the certificates and private keys, after you build the client and server configuration files (that howto is usefull), you upload all needed files to the receiver. You will see that this will not work. In fact the daemon will not start at all as there is no tun device defined.

      Now, go to etc/init.d/ directory, open locally, on your PC, the openvpn script and add this line on the top of the file

      modprobe tun

      Save and upload back.
      Now download this file
      tun.ko - 0.01MB
      and upload it at the following location
      /lib/modules/2.6.12-5.1-brcmstb-dm800/kernel/drivers/net
      Restart the box and you will have OpneVPN automatic started. This info you will not find on that site. Good luck.

      remove /net/* in /dev

      rm /dev/net/*

      rm /dev/net

    • I cannot find OpenVPN anywhere in the addons menu. Can anyone of you find it there?
