      I would like, that there would be EPG behavior control option in setup.

      If user has /hdd/epg.dat file, then there could be problem when channel epg it self update the epg.
      Current behavior is that channel epg allways overwrites the epg.dat information.
      This is not however allways wanted.

      So, I would like option in setup for this.

      1. Channel EPG overwrite epg.dat information, if there is channel epg information available.
      - Current behavior
      - Wanted when user doesn't trust the epg.dat information

      2. Channel EPG information is only used when there is no EPG.dat information.
      - Usefull if there is different language in epg.dat file
      - User trust the /hdd/epg.dat file more then programs epg

      3. Channel EPG information is used, if there is more information than epg.dat has.
      - Wanted when user wants more information options
      - Can be done just comparing lenght of the two epg information.
      - Allows user to combinate best source of information to epg info.

      Why?

      Because if some user updates epg other ways, example different language reasons or
      just have more information other ways, then they could actually like to use that information,
      not the channels own epg information. So, let users control EPG behavior better.

      PS: Why does Enigma 2 delete /hdd/epg.dat when started?

      How about allow user to download and update multible external epg.dat files.
      This could improve general way users ability have information about programs.
      Mostly because many web-page has more information about the programs,
      than channels own epg information. Also users could create from web-page
      epg.dat files and share them with other users. Like having epg server.

    • EPG import

      Rytec (rytec.be) generates xmltv fles for very many channels. He also converts them to epg.dat. These epg.dat files could be loaded into Enimga2 DM's.
      Right now there are only two images (MiLo, PLi and Nabilo) which allow to load the epg.data into enigma 2. Nabilo downloads this epg.dat frequently and loads it into Engima2 autoamtically.

      It would be great if you also make the fantastic NewNigma2 ready to automatically download and load the epg.dat.

    • EPG behavior control !!!!!

      A must have!

      I use perfect EPG updater with extra program info and correct
      event info, now whitout any control this perfect EPG
      is messed up by automatic channel EPG update.....

    • I do use CrossEPG plug-in which seems great to me. It enables me to import csv file with EPG data for any channel that I create. I have everything working great expect one thing.

      When I look onto the list of EPG for any channel it gets in a second overwritten by original (mostly messing) EPG from provider. If I look into detail of specific EPG channel current and next program is missing (it is empty) and the next ones are mine. Those that I imported. If I do UI restart I see again all my EPG data until I point to the specific channel, than all data are lost and replaced by original.

      Is there any chance to not to allow overwriting my EPG data?

    • I'd like to request two little features:
      • A priority system for (overlapping) timers. So one can set in advance which timer to pick, when there a conflict between eg an auto/searchtimer and a regular one.
      • The webinterface's missing a list of shows at a certain time like the Multi-EPG plugin features on screen (eg now, next, 20:15 or any custom set time(s)).

    • was mich stört an jetzigen newnigma ist, das wenn man in seinen fav. auf zb sat1 ist, und man lässt sich die komplette senderliste anzeigen, dann spring er immer nach ganz oben in er kompletten senderliste also auf 1 bzw. A
      ich würde vorschlagen, das wenn man in eigenen fav auf sat1 ist, und dann wechselt man die ansicht auf alle tv programme dann sollte er auch auf sat1 springen.
      ist das machhbar?

    • und wie oft soll ich es noch sagen, wie sollen wir etwas fixen wo wir kein log haben. ich hab eine anleitung gemacht im faq bereich. danach funktioniert es, bis auf das er beim start das wlan nicht aktiviert, aber ansonsten habe ich keine probleme !

      Würde mich freuen wenn man eine einfache Sendersuche machen könnte nicht einen Suchlauf sondern wie bei billig Boxen gebe zb. R. ein und ich habe dann etliche Sender die mit R anfangen

      und wer hat die log files dazu??der thread heißt ja nicht umsonst vorschläge/wünsche oder?jetzt hab ich hier mal nen wunsch geäußert und dann das...
      das muss doch irgendwann auffallen dass es probleme speziell mit der wlan verbindung gibt.ich werd gleich mal auf 2.8.4 updaten mal schauen wie es sich da verhält

      Das Problem, dass das WLAN beim Start der Box nicht aktiviert wird habe ich auch. Erst nach Netzwerk-Reset im Menü funktioniert WLAN.
      Gibt es dazu in naher Zukunft eine Lösung?
