I have no more tuner anymore, and the ninkapoops that write "first need to move motor for first time install" they should get their brains examined. As the Frequency to look for , any sat = -1 non-changeable.

Well for me it s THE END for newnigma2 ... i ll go try GEMINI now because this is for me total bullshit.

it WAS a great image, and it WORKED quite nicely ... RIP newnigma2

now why would i go back to former enigma if other images supply enigma updates in their image and they are working ??

I really loved this image, so before i reflashed it, i tried just to set simple sat , astra 19 east and install signal...if i dare set the sat back to positioner stored position it s GONE... tuner failed

So you def have a problem in your disecq setup / positioner setup -> connection to lnb.

For me that s not an option, when i install an image, it should work, shit happens, but THIS shit is a bit too much. I would have expected this 6 months ago... but today, nah ... for me it s bad coding.. nothing more, nothing less...

I have tested all kind of images, and for me the newnigma is the best one, but since I have installed the v 2.3 astra 19,2 have no signal anymore.

I don´t know if my lnb will work someday. I will try to put the old image to see, but I think is dead.

My sistem is 4 lnb (astra2 / astra / Hotbird / hispasat) with maximum 4x1 diseqc 1.0

If anyone have the same problem replay to me please, because I need to have this last version of newnigma v2.3 working well because I use it for watch mkv whit subtitle.

Well I tried former image, so go back to 2.2.3, worked fine for a couple of days and yesterday on a big crash (everything froze) , had to restart by taking off power, i couldn't ftp to box anymore, telnet fine, ftp nada...checked vstpd , nada...and only FTA channels working ..

So i m gonna have another go at 2.3.... will let you know what gives

I kinda suspect i ll get same error again, but honestly , i really think this image is great and you guyz are doing a great job, i just must be one of the unlucky ones where it doesn t work....

So i reflashed it again, and altough at first I had again no signal on box i did a factory reset to use the wizard to enter the exact same advanced sat tuner config. This time i also asked it afterwards to install the default services for astra/hotbird and all of a sudden i got signal.

Now scanning on astra went flawlessly but scanning hotbird stops after 1% so i reckon some old freq in satellites.xml which i ll check later.

For now i haven t put my dreamset 2.20 list back into the box as I suspect it to be the cause of my unsuccessfull attempt the other day.

SO for people with similar problems, eventough you just reflashed the box, try a factory reset and install default list after setting all rotor settings TROUGH the wizard, not afterwards in setup menu.

Right now too happy the baby is watching Bebe Tv again... :p

Well i ve found out why all went bad the first time, all due to lamedb file. When you flash your box and configure it like usual, scan sats etc, all fine. If on the other hand you send in your settings with dreamedit 2.20 on the last image (2.3) before you actually scan a satellite you ll get no signal on any sat.

Well the thing is that lamedb for the newnigma images is not functionning properly for some channels, like ITV HD (fta) so you have to manually correct them, wich i did again and all working fine again, besides picon, with stopped working on KERN-HD, DREAMTV HD and other skins. The only skin working for me is LT Chromeline Mod with all picons. All the others don't ...

THe autoresolution config this time isn't working anymore as it should be when you leave everything to default. You need still to set it manually else HD is using incorrect display resolutions. But indeed it s a great image and I appreciate the work you guyz are doing.

I would suggest an easier way to find problems is under each NEWNIGMA release to open a STICKY FAQ with problems and solutions, beats going trough the entire forum looking for people with similar problems and solutions.

Anyway, I m happy it s working again, will find that picon thingy and fix it , i hope.

Well gonna forget about picons, they only work on LT Mod skin and none on the others. Also latest image screws up ITV HD again on 28e, no picture due to the channel info in lamedb.

Also some channels TOTALLY FREEZE UP the box, only way to reset it is by taking of the powersupply !!! What a mess.....

To people not using 2.3 yet, stay away from it, it's full of bugs.

Try TV1000 polsat on hotbird, and see what happens ... LOL

first of all when i mentioned LT, you should have read it a bit more carefully. I said picons are only working on SKIN LT.CHROMELINE.MOD, and if i switch to ANY OTHER SKIN, dreamtv-hd, kerni HD, whatever, picons are GONE .. so spare me the "corrupt settings" bullshit.

I am very happy for you that all is working fine, maybe try zapping on TV1000 13east hotbird and tell me how the CRASH went ... /lol ..

Anyway, it s working more or less, without picons, it s still a very good image but I had a lot less problems with 2.2.3, then 2.3 , now going back is not an option, as mentioned before.

I am just waiting or a new image and maybe then most of the problems will be gone.

So in case you want to contribute , rather then saying "mine all fine", tell me how to fix the picon problem , and why is the box crashing (and REALLY CRASHING, no reset, no powerbutton reset) only powercable removal will restart your box, on certain channels... oh wait, corrupt image this time ? ... lolz...

Great image, but very unstable.
(actually might be boot 70 ) , wouldn t that be a bugger....

It seems that your have your picons in /picon Folder,this works only for non HD Skins. HD Picons live in /piconHD.
Picons Packages from our Feed are sorted by HD and nonHD and are working well in all of our Skins.

THANKS M8 ! , this was the answer I was waiting for , I'll go try that straight away. But why doesn't the addon installer check wetter you use HD skin and install accordingly ? Because the online installer just copies it in /Picon.... even if you are on a HD skin ?

We dont change anything on Kernel, enigma2 or Drivers. All this stuff comes from CVS. And i dont know about so such problems like yours. The only solution could be to attach a serial cable and log. Sorry, but i have no other idea.
