      I'm in process of buying a DM800 and I would like to check if it is original box or not, since there are a lot of clone ones in the market. I have the serial number and also the mac address.

      Your help is much appreciated.

      Dream startet bald mit neuem Verifizierungssystem
      Dream-Multimedia hat ein neuartiges Verifizierungssystem für seine Kunden entwickelt.
      Auf der Dreambox kann ein Plugin gestartet werden, welches Ihnen eine Verifizierungsnummer ausgibt.
      Diese Nummer kann auf unserer Homepage eingegeben werden und man erhält sofort Auskunft darüber ob es sich um eine originale Dreambox handelt oder um ein Plagiat.
      Aus diesem Grund werden wir zukünftig sowohl auf unseren Receivern als auch auf den Kartons auf die Dream-Security-Hologramme verzichten.
      Mit dieser Maßnahme wollen wir den Support für unsere Kunden weiter optimieren und mögliche Verunsicherungen zukünftig vermeiden.

      Dream announces launch of new verification system

      Dream-Multimedia has developed an innovative verification system for its customers.
      A plugin can be started on the Dreambox, which will display a verifcation number.
      This number can then be entered on our website to obtain immediate information about whether or not you have an original Dreambox or a forgery.

      For this reason, we will forgo the Dream security holograms on our receivers and packaging from now on.

      With this measure we want to continuously optimize our customer support and avoid uncertainties in the future.
