I've a similar problem here.
I use an msi-wlan stick and an external smargo card reader in combination with an ordinary usb2.0 4-port hub.
To get wlan working after a startup, i need to disable the smargo reader for a few seconds.
So i guess something is messed up with the assignment of the usb devices.

It helps, to disable DHCP and use an static IP

well i tried that as well and it doesn't help.

in fact when wlan is activated, it gets inactive after some time, sometimes after a few hours, sometimes after one or two days...anyone any ideas? I have wlan tp-link in one usb and smargo in the other. dm800

also diese wlan-stick geschichte scheint ja irgendwie nicht rund zu laufen (was man überall so liest), deswegen hatte ich bis jetzt nur mal einen wlan-stick zum testen dran, für eine stunde vielleicht.

deswegen nutz ich sowas wie hier: tp-link.com/products/product_des.asp?id=36 um meine dreambox in mein wlan-netz einzuspeisen, das funktioniert 100% einwandfrei. so ein ding kostet ca. 25 euro.

für 25 euro mach ich mir doch nicht meine nerven kaputt

außerdem kann man da auch z.b. einen 5 port switch dran machen somit kann man noch mehr geräte per lan in sein wlan-netz bringen. (xbox, bluyray-player, 2. dreambox etc.)
