    • I don't exactly if the drivers are already installed.
Have alook at "all packages" in the onlineinstaller. I think you'll need:

      Quellcode

      1. wlan-rt73
      2. wireless-tools
      Gruß

In einer irrsinnigen Welt vernünftig sein zu wollen, ist schon wieder ein Irrsinn für sich.

    • Sorry, are you sure the chipset in the stick is supportet?

      from IHAD Forum:

Chipsätze die gehen: / working chipsets:
      Zitat:
      Ralink RT2570,
      RT2501USB
RT2070 Chipsatz RT2070L Chipsatz <- ACHTUNG L geht nicht! Chipset not supportet!
      Ralink R73 sowie der
      Zydas 1211b
      RT2501USB

      i also read there:
      RT2870 is also not supportet

    • Hi, i dont know what chipset is..

I use Debian, in a shell i type lsusb, and it shows me..

      Quellcode

      1. Bus 003 Device 002: ID 079b:004a Sagem XG-760A 802.11bg

But its very strange, i dont know if its for dm800 specifically, but i have it working in my linux laptop.

      Thanks.
    • only rt73 chipset and Zydas 1211b chipset will work.

remove your wlan stick, then put it in again. then type dmesg into the shell of your box to get further informations (dmesg | tail will show you the last ten lines):

      Quellcode

      1. root@DM800:~# dmesg | tail
      2. usb 1-1.6: default language 0x0409
      3. usb 1-1.6: new device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0
      4. usb 1-1.6: Product: 802.11 bg WLAN
      5. usb 1-1.6: Manufacturer: Ralink
      6. usb 1-1.6: hotplug
      7. usb 1-1.6: adding 1-1.6:1.0 (config #1, interface 0)
      8. usb 1-1.6:1.0: hotplug
      9. rt73 1-1.6:1.0: usb_probe_interface
      10. rt73 1-1.6:1.0: usb_probe_interface - got id
      11. idVendor = 0x7d1, idProduct = 0x3c03
      12. root@DM800:~#
      Alles anzeigen

      my stick: D-Link DWL-G122 Revision C1 with rt73 shipset

      edit:
did you boot your box with plugged stick? Plug´n Play would not work ....

Gibts das auch so zum runterladen? Mein Stick will auch nicht und ich hab ohne den Stick kein Internet an der Box.

Hi Fred, i'm searching a stick as yours, and i have founded one C1 revision, is with rt73 chipset, isnt it?

      I think Revision C1 is RT73 Chipset and B1 is RT2570 chipset!

      Thanks.
    • Sorry to intervene in this old topic, but I am looking for a wifi usb stick to use with a dreambox 800 for a friend. Can anyone recommend a usb stick? The sticks I found in this thread are all obsolete, and nowhere to be found.

thanks a lot for your help
    • This one should work but I give no guarantee 8)

      TP-Link TL-WN321G (rt73 Chipset) :
      tp-link.com/products/productDetails.asp?pmodel=TL-WN321G

but I rather would use an access point instead of a Wlan-stick.
      something like this:
      tp-link.com/products/productDe…ass=wlan&pmodel=TL-WA501G
