    • Here is how to make Hauppauge Nova T-USB stick work with 800 Newnigma2 v3.1

      The following files have been confirmed to work on DM800 Newnigma2 3.1 (kernel 2.6.18-7.4-dm800), making it possible to use a DM800 & Hauppauge Nova T-USB terrestial stick to watch digital terrestial tv-channels in your area.

      Newnigma2 team is not responsible for a possible failed result, so try the attached files at your own risk :D

      Installation goes like this:
      1. Manually install Enigma2-plugin-extensions-lataamo_0.1_mipsel.ipk (by sending it to /tmp etc)
      2. ftp the file dm800-dvbt-dib0700.tgz to /tmp
      4. Start lataamo plugin and installation should go ok.
      5. Reboot your 800 and search the T-channels available at your area.

      Please note: this is a workaround, made possible by using modified Newnigma2 feed files and modified Dream-Elite files.
      The author (soossi) hopes thats ok for both teams and wants to thank both teams for making these files available.



      The following could be useful, a bad Google translation:
      1. extract the zip package Enigma2-plugin-extensions-lataamo_0.1_mipsel.ipk.zip
      2. Enigma2 move ftp-plugin-extensions-lataamo_0.1_mipsel.ipk dm800 tmp directory
      3. Open the remote
      -> Blue button
      -> Newnigma Services
      -> Manage Additional Software
      -> Offline installer
      -> Internal flash
      -> Install Software Package
      -> Install / tmp/enigma2-plugin-extensions-lataamo_0.1_mipsel.ipk
      4. go to menu and open the plugin plugin / Downloads
      plug-in menu
      -> Check: looking for usb stick
      -> Install: install the driver
      5. then install the driver and if all went ok with the installation, restart again dm800

      Works fine for my Pinnacle PCTV teleScope (PCTV 73A).

      If someone got problems this might help:
      The tuner does not work if connected via USB-Hub. Must be plugged directly to the DM800 which was not necessary with the DreamElite-Image.

      BTW: I am using the new (20101107) dvb-modules

      EDIT: It is not working as expected:
      While recording a hd-channel (FTA) via the build-in sat-tuner and not doing anything else, the average cpu-load was 1.74. Trying to playback a SD-movie while recording crashed enigma2.

      I unplugged the tuner, restored enigma2.sh and everything went back to normal...

      have anybody seen DreamElite dvbt drivers pack for dm8k?
      current DMM/NN2 v4l-dvb-module-dvb-usb-af9015 doesnt work with Avermedia A850

      Heisst dass der Treiber funktioniert nun mit e2 und AvermediaA850 ?
      ich kann die Datei auch beim neuesten Image nicht installieren!

      My A850 dont work. I cant install the usbtunerdpanel_0.1 (ipkg not found!)
      i cant see the usb tuner not in the menü

      - extract the usbtunerdpanel_0.2.zip package
      - transfer *.ipk file to dm800 /tmp - folder
      - install plugin (newnigma2 -> manage additional software -> offline installer or
      opkg install /tmp/enigma2-plugin-extensions-usbtunerdpanel_0.2_all.ipk)
      - goto plugin menu and open UsbTunerdPanel - plugin
      --> (Red) Exit: close plugin
      --> (Green) Check: looking for USB devices
      --> (Blue) Install: trying to install tuner
      --> (Blue) Remove: trying to remove tuner
      --> (Yellow) Credits
