      Hallo,
      bin neu hier und muss schon mal ein Lob los werden, mein record path Problem konnte ich dank dem Forum lösen, meine DM 800er HD stellt die Aufnahme direkt ins NAS :)

      Jetzt ein neues Problem, gibt es jemand der einen VLC Server auf dem NAS laufen hat und somit seine Filme direkt über die DM abspielen kann ???

      Wenn ja, wie kann ich den Server konfigurieren?
      Das Paket konnte ich mittlerweile per ftp installieren...

    • Wozu VLC auf dem NAS.

      NAS mit der Dreambox haste ja gemountet und Aufnahmen laufen ja auch direkt drauf.

      Zum abspielen einfach auf der Fernbedienung die Video - Taste drücken. Danach evtl. nochmals und den Mount deiner NAS auswählen. Nun bekommste alle Filme angezeigt und kannst diese abspielen.

      Das gleiche geht so im Mediaplayer und im DVD - Player.

    • Ich denke mal einfach, du möchtest mit deiner 800er manche avi, mp4 etc. abspielen, die die 800er eben nicht kann.
      Ich hab mal zu deinem NAS nachgesehen, es gibt anscheinend ein Plugin Multimedia Server für den 210+, die einen Stream ermöglichen.
      Schau mal bei Synology, zwecks Einrichtung und Konfiguration, glaub damit solltest du anfangen

      In the Synology forum there is the step how to install VLC on your NAS to permit you to convert on-demand for unsupported video file by your DM800.
      Another solution is sell your DM800 and buy an DM500.

      In your start post, you write about DM800HD.
      If you have a DM800 you can't see Divx from your NAS.
      If you have a DM8000 you can see Divx from your NAS.
      DM500 can see Divx.
      If you want try to install VLC on your NAS, the Synology forum can help you.
      Remember that your NAS maybe don't have a adequate CPU power to permit a decodification from avi to mkv.
      Read and ask in the forum if your CPU is adequate to stream.
      Another question that your NAS maybe is not adequate to be stressed.
