Personally, i think any Dreambox is mainly a satellite receiver and a very limited mediaplayer. The dedicated mediaplayers are much more (cpu) powerful and easier and more comfortable to use. For example a Tvix costs 99e + shipping and will handle any files you throw at it. I have 3 of those. And they playback all my Dreambox recordings too. Never tried to use my 800 as a mediaplayer, not worth the hassle in my opinion. xtreamer.net/

Any of you guys who has managed to install USB T-stick in Newnigma images, you are welcome to make a how-to guide topic on the subject, i know its needed by many Newnigma2 users. As far as a GUI option for the install: i dont know if that will be available, i personally hope for it too.

Its better in my opinion to use updated channellists, all nicely separated into categories. Check out cajton´s channellist here on Newnigma2 board. I never scan any satellites myself. You can update your satellites.xml file to have all the freq´s known to hobbyists, Reinhard is the guy who makes the best satellites.xml files.

There are no Newnigma2 images for 7020.

This is, i guess, again the request to pause any live program. Just take a screenshot with the webinterface? Maybe that will do.

Lumikki, as the 1st message of this thread says, your Newnigma2 version has to be dated 24.5.2010 or newer. Newnigma2 v3.0 is based on Enigma2 of 16.05.2010, therefore 3.0 is too old for Rytec EPG tests; you need to install a newer image from the unstable directory: feed.newnigma2.to/unstable/images/

Flash your 800. You cant online update from 2.8.4 to 3.0, flashing is needed.
