i have just little opinion with Philips LCDs with my 42pfl9703h have no problems with sound and autoformat works correct whith actual drivers with neighbors 42pfl7633d only trough Side HDMI got correct connection cause back HDMI sockets are too deep (simpthoms similar like yours, picture came just after few seconds and without sound) with other naighbors 40pfl5605h no problems with sockets deep and sound, but AutoFormat works wrong way - 4:3 isnt touched(where it must work) but 16:9 streched ver…

change video output mode to 'DVI' under Menu->Settings->System->A/V Settings when selected mode is 'Scart' then no sound on DVI present
