Subtitles on Sky UK

      When I turn subtitles on for the some of the Sky UK channels some of the subtitles appear in the middle of the screen. The subtitle also only appears in the middle of the screen if there is more than 1 line of text to display, so the first line will be at the bottom of the screen, the 2nd will be shown in the centre of the screen.

      Also subtitles are fine for channels like BBC and ITV so only appears to be a problem with Sky channels, is anybody able to offer any help or advice on maybe what's going wrong or even how to correct?

      EDIT: Just thought I'd add that I'm not using any plugins, just turning subtitles on using the Audio->Yellow button.

      EDIT: ALso where can I get the latest version of this skin? I've had a look at the LT6.HD thread and have applied most of the skin changes but I was wondering if there were other changes say to the png files that may have changed that I need to also apply.

    • I´ve seen the same problem happen, i dont know if there is any cure for it, DMM does not really care for the people in countries that use subtitling (instead of the dubbing used mostly in Germany).
      There are long petitions in DMM forum to fix longstanding subtitling issues that would be quite small & easy to fix. But no.

      I use 2sub for subtitling though, same thing happens with that.
      You can edit 2sub subtitles position, size, font etc. easily with your remote.

      I usually turn off subtitling for Sky UK channels, subtitling being used here in other sats/packages though.

    • OK so a known problem then, rather annoying then as my family uses the subtitle feature quite a lot. I've taken some screen shots so that people can see what I'm talking about.

      I'm not sure but this happens on some channels only if 2 or more people are speaking very quickly one after another, which of course happens quite often.

      However, I have an even more annoying problem regarding subtitles on Sky UK (and possibly on other packages as well). I'm not sure if it's to do with Newnigma2 or rather Enigma2 CVS code. Perhaps somebody can check the following problem and let us know. It will only take you a couple of minutes to check that:

      If you record to HDD a couple of minutes of any Sky UK channel which broadcasts subtitles (HD movie channels or whatever) and then play it from HDD, you will notice that the subtitles appear 3-4 seconds too early. So watching recorded films with subtitles becomes a nightmare.
      I am using Newnigma2 3.1.2 or 3.1.3 (don't remember now) and am wondering if this problem still continues in the latest image.
      Can somebody check that, please?

    • I have also noticed that sometimes subtitles ContainNoSpaces. I don't know if it's provider's or image's fault. See attached.
