Problems flashing my DM800 PVR with NN 3.2.1

    • Problems flashing my DM800 PVR with NN 3.2.1

      Today I load last version of newnigma 2 to my DM 800 PVR and this killed me the tuner modules . My boxes are 3 years old with serial numbers starting with 85201300000XXXX.
      Tried with other tuners ,newer versions - works fine , but can not explain why newnigma killed the old ones ???
      BE CAREFULL with this FW

    • not at all , I decide to change the FW with newnigma via webinterface and when 100 % done I rebooted the box and it is start to loading and rebooting .When removed the tuner module the FW loading normal. When put thetuner module start to rebooting.
      I guess my box is frm the first ones and there is some hardware difference.

    • Thank you my friend , let me check , I just loaded the bootloader and now loading the FW - TOTAL DISASTER NO ANY SUCCESS :
      1st loading secondstage 84 , when starting I see boot#84 , then holding the front button puting in web interface upgrade mode.
      With Gemini 5.1 loaded when restarting see boot# 76 and the box crash.
      again loading SS #84 and loading Newnigma 2 3.2.1
      The box reboot with SS #82 and crash again

      Any idea ?

    • I changed the topic, as this is NO common problem with a Newnigma² image!

      btw.: it is NOT nessesary to flash SSL #84 to use the stable Newnigma² 3.2.1 image. Just flash the image over webinterface. Thousands of other users with dm800 have done this without any problems with their dm800 before.

    • For sure , but the first revisions of dm 800 are killed by newnigma, I found about 12 more users in bulgarian forums . I changed to 30 dm 800 new nigma 2 with no problems , but i tried to another working old box and newnigma killed it also :( now I have two .

    • the Image cannot kill any kind of hardware, that's nonsense
      all types of genuine Dreamboxes working with our images properly

      If you have some Problems, then reflash the old image and everything is as before

      1. the box working with gemini 5.0 and I watched TV on it , without any problem.
      Then decided to load newnigma . The image is from this site . Uploaded via webinterface and then the box showed NN2 logo and started to restart.
      Took the tuner module from my friends box and try it - working with higher revision of the tuner module.
      30 minutes ago took the other box from the second floor and did the same :) total disaster. Now I have 2 damaged boxes and no any TV :)
      I tried to reflash with many images ,incl. the old ones - no any success

      Please comment , what happened ?

      Löl, I would bet these are clonebox users, that try to use our image!

      In your case make a bootlog and post it here.

      The Newnigma² image is for sure not able to destroy anything.
      Test it with a corresponding original dream multimedia experimental image, if it also happens there, feel free to contact the Dream Multimedia support!

    • I don't understand this , sorry , can't do it - about the log. There is no possibility to load any image after this crash . For sure newnigma destroyed both boxes . I just watched them before changing fw .

      As i already wrote, feel free to contact the Dream Multimedia support!
      The Newnigma² image is not doing anything different from the Dream Multimedia experimental image!

      It is possible that something went wrong during the flash procedure, in that case you must flash the box with the "recover bad sectors" option

      but without the bootlog it's only :glaskugel4:
