      I have received my new dreambox 500hd last week, I tried to install the newnigma v3.2.1 with success but after that my box doesn't boot anymore.

      I am not able to connect with dreamup anymore to flash another image.

      We were able to connect to the dreambox with hyperterminal and we had (one time) an error message telling the the second stage bootloader is missing.

      Any idea on how to recover the dreambox?

    • It is an official box

      the problem is that dreamup is not able to see the dreambox most of the time.

      We were able to connect with dreamup by:
      - holding the button during 30s
      - powering on the dreambox and keeping the button held during 30s

      We flashed the second bootloader and put back the last official image

      We can not connect with dreamup afterwards

    • if u want to use dreamup follow this steps

      power off ur box completly

      install these drivers dream-multimedia-tv.de/firmwar…P_Win_XP_S2K3_Vista_7.zip

      reboot ur pc if needed

      download dreamup dream-multimedia-tv.de/download/DreamUP.zip

      start dreamup (let your box powered off)

      connect to the usb service port.

      take a look which comport the driver is using

      then follow the instroductions of dreamup :)

      use an unstable image

    • First of all you have to establish the connection between dreambox and dreamup.
      Use the newest versions from the links which were posted by oZxS.
      Disable any kind of firewall, virus scan or something like that.
      Additionally try another PC if possible.

      If you get a connection flash the newest dmm image first to see if it boots then.
      If you get no connection or it doesn't boot after flashing then you will probably have to send the box back to your dealer.
