Autoresolution Plugin(pub. beta)

    • Hi,

I have just installed this plugin but I have an error in plugin menue. The erroe is "no such file or directory /proc/stb/avs/0/ftb. I have this error for both Auto resolution and Video mode plugins.

      Can somebody help on this?
    • can i ask feature to set native aspectratio on HDMI output

my Philips tv has AutoZoom function which doesnt work for HDMI inputs
i think that can be cause all signal from dreambox comes always as 16:9(4:3+blackbars at sides)

or before change anything in plugin tel me some commands with which i can test my theory

    • Sorry, I am an absolute newbie, not even owning the dreambox so far (want to buy), so maybe I am completely off the point...

My concept is to have a very good AV receiver, which should do all the upscaling, not the TV or any other component. Therefore I need components allowing me to deliver the video stream "as is", not altering it. So far, the only thing I found coming near to this idea seems to be nightmann's autoresolution plug-in.

Is it? I mean, is that what the plug-in does, providing the video stream from the dreambox to the AV receiver in the native resolution of the source?

      Thanks in advance,
      Dieter
    • this plugin just change videomodes which alows dreambox,
BUT there arent presented native modes for 4:3 content - only
      a) unscaled 720x576 with wrong(16:9) aspect ratio
      or
      b) downscaled 720x576 to ~580x576 plus two 80x576 black bars at bouth sides

    • Thanks. I assume this answers my question with:
      Yes, BUT a) or b) ;)

In that case I assume also that the best way (for me) to operate the box would be:
      * All 16:9 modes are passed through the box and the AV receiver is doing the upscaling
      * All 4:3 modes let the dreambox do the upscaling to final resolution (and the AV receiver should pass through the signal)
