festplatte als USB oder esata

      servus leute!

      welche art von festplatte würdet ihr mir empfehlen, ich will mir eine 500 GB festpaltte kaufen, weiß aber nicht ob ich eine USB oder sata festplatte nehmen soll.

      ODER gibt festplatte mit beiden anschlüssen?

      was sind die vorteile bzw. nachteil bei den o.g. platten. möchte die platte jedoch nicht in der 800 einbauen (also nicht im original gehäuse) ich möchte die festplatte seperat haben.

      ich hatte zuerst meine WD 500 GB festplatte über USB angeschlossen (ich hatte nicht ein richtiges sata kabel (habe nicht gewußt dass es einen I und L type gibt, bei der dream sowie bei der WD 500 GB brauche ich aber ein I Type)

      so nun habe ich mir ein kurzes (0.5 m) sata kabel - ich habe das usb entfernt und die festplatte per esata angeschlossen.

      jetzt wird die platte nicht erkannt!

      wer kann helfen?
    • der S-ATA Stecker aufm Board der Box wird entweder auf den sata stecker in die rückblende der Box geführt.... Dann kannst du eine externe Sata-Platte anschliessen..

      Oder aber du nutzt eine Platte intern, dann wird die Verbindung zur Rück-Blende angestöpselt und die Interne Platte eingesteckt...

      Wenn du da aber noch nichts gemacht hast, sollte es im Ausgangszustand sein.. und der wäre: zur Rück-blende geführt ;)

      schwer zu beschreiben.. ich hoffe du verstehst...

      simpler, als die kiste aufschraueb und nachzusehen, wäre sicherlich die ausgabe von dmesg nachm Einstecken der Sata-Platte zu machen...
