My DM8000 with 4.0.10 is recording tv programs by itself !!

Hello,

I have deployed firmware 4.0.10 on my DM8000.
I am experiencing a strange problem.
My DM8000 seems to start recordings now and then.
I have not asked to record anything, the timer is empty and nothing is recorded on the internal hard disk.

When activating the DM8000, a popup message is displayed on the TV screen, warning me that no free tuner is available, it seems that a record event is running.
Almost all channels are grey out, so no way to select a channel to watch TV.

I checked the Timer submenu: it is empty.

The DM8000 is populated with an internal hard disk and a CF memory.
To avoid any remaining config file somewhere, I initialized both the HD & CF.
Then, I reflashed the DM8000 but the symptoms stays.

Does anyone have an idea to get rid of this problem ?

Something seriously wrong with 4.0.10. I have the opposite error.. It wont record my daily timers.

So I have flashed back to 4.0.9.. Everything works perfectly

Sounds like someone is streaming from the box, as streaming is handled like recording (or maybe epgrefresh is running)... plus - since you have a multi-tuner-box - wrong tuner settings (unless youre streaming from multiple transponders at a time).

Kinda strange, since youre the only one with that problem and without a log its just :glaskugel4:.
If Id have to guess, Id say that your standard storage device is not mounted properly or you havent set a standard device at all.

Why would that be broken by upgrading? :evil:

It's all wrong on 5 devices... So I'm back with 4.0.9. Works perfect. And no annoying popups.

I'd the same with other image (OE+GP). What my solution was: don't forward portnumers from internet to Dreambox.
And if you do, only do https (port 443). Activate in webinterface config (menu > plugins > webinterface)
enable https access (check port 443)
enable https authentication
enable streaming authentication.

Then it's ok. (and you can still access your dreambox over internet by yourdomainorip instead of yourdomainorip
(you get a browser warning of untrusted https certificate, but it's ok it's your Dreambox.)

update: indeed sometimes flashing powerled. no recording, but why is the powerled flashing? (also no active network connection) I use Newnigma2-unstable for DM8000 (uptodate)
