OSCAM seems to be the way to go as there's no other softcam for the DM900 ARM architecture.
But: gbox.net is available for Coolstream boxes which uses ARM CPUs as well. On the other hand I don't think the the same binary will run on the DM900 without modification.

There are packages for gbox.net and SCAM on the armhf repository which lack the actual binaries. Did they get there accidently?

When the authors releases binaries for those architectures, the packages are already there and you just need to add the bin
