Hi, I have 2 dreamboxes, a 800 and a 8000. They both have a hdd. I would like to know what exactly I need to do to mount the hdd of one box on the other box. All help will be highly appreciated!
mount hdd dreambox on other dreambox

on serverbox install nfsserver and set your hdd to export file.
then you will be able to mount the hdd on the client box via networkbrowser. -
I looked into plugins but don't find NFS server, where can I find it?
-
Just install our NFS-Editor from plugins and all needed packages will be installed automatically.Gruß

I installed NFS editor on one dreambox, but I can't fint it in the networkenvironment on the other dreambox. Do I have to activate something?
-
did you execute the nfs-editor as described in our wiki to make a nfs-share in /etc/exports ?

I have now in /etc/exports
/media/hdd/lost+found/ *(ro,sync,no_root_squash)
but still do not see the other dreambox in network environment -
I have now managed to mount the hdd, but do not see any files. What can be wrong?
-
you choosed the wrong directory ?
/media/hdd/ *(rw,sync,no_root_squash) -
ok but I have a lot of MP3 in /lost+found, and the mediaplayer didn't see these either
-
mount -t cifs -o username=server_user,password=server_password //NAS_IP/share_name /path_to/mount_point
code2
ln -s /lokatie/van/mount /media/hdd/movie
kom op stijn -

-
