Bug 1: Media center plugin
When playing audio files (I do it over CIFS) and pressing the "Info" button the gui crashes avery time and reboots. Not critical, but a bug… This crashes every time the info button is pressed during audio playback… (I have played flac files). This does not happened in std media player...
Bug 2: Playing media files
When playing .vob, .mpg4 or .avi files in std media player OR Media Center plugin the same things applies… That is that jump forward and backwards in the movies does not work. It's simply not possible to exit forwarding by clicking on OK or any other button. When playing DM8000 created files or playing other .TS (renamed from .rec) files from my old Topfield box this works flawlessly. This happens every time.
Bug 3: Network
When using and disabling WiFi for the purpose for enabling a wired connection the dreambox sometimes hangs hard (still not recovered after 5 minutes). The only way is to power off on the button as I can no longer reach it over the network with SSH. This seems to work ok a second time when there are configs already stored on disk. Maybe this is a problem just the first time when the box is configured with wifi during first image boot and then switching to a wired connection. Also… this can eventually be caused by an already mounted CIFS share. Have not tested this extensively. Maybe some networks timeouts have to be lowered bit. This happens in other images than NewNigma2 as well... So it's not a NewNigma2 only issue.
Must say that none of these are that critical. Some (Like No 2 above) are VERY annoying though… I will definitely stay on NewNigma2 as I have tried to crash it without success. All other images have had serious bugs in their respectively so called stable install…
I am amazed of the stability so far as this was all I could find. And I have used CIFS shares, WiFi, Wired connections, DVD burning, accessing media over CIFS and NFS, Playing audio over CIFS and local CD/DVD and more...
