    • I also found that when have rebooted the computer and try with ftp to the dreambox /media/net/movies it stops after i open /media/ i cant get in to the net folder.
Please i need help with this?
    • Do you open a movie from the PC to the DM800 which in turn mounts a CIFS share back on the PC you have as I client??? Why don't you open these locally on the PC?

I have not seen any problem with hanging CIFS mounts. I have a DM8000 running 2.8.4 mounting a CIFS share on OpenBSD as well as on Linux. No problems like you describe... If you have a windows PC for the sharing, maybe you can have a look at oplocks, timeouts etc when mounting the CIFS share from the dreambox.

As said. I haven't seen any problems here... Or do you maybe have an enabled stateful firewall in between that forces you to set up the connection again when the server comes back.

    • I have shared a folder with movies on my pc, when i mount that folder in my dreambox it works ok until i restart the pc.If i then unmount/mount it works to next time i restart the pc.
Maybe a reflash is the solution,i have used Gemini before without this problem.
    • This behavior was already discussed several times in this forum and is normal!
If you restart your PC the mount is lost and has to be refreshed. Reflashing your image won't change anything on tihis.
