I have earlier posted about the annoying problem of DVDs that refused to play. Most stopped at the menu etc (search for my posts in the forum...)


I have now done some experiments (I use a Samsung S083C DVD in my dreambox 8000 Newnigma2 3.0). I actually have two of these Samsung DVD:s. I have reflashed one of the from firmware SB01 to a SB00 RPC1 firmware that is region free. Now ALL tested DVD movies works in the Dreambox. That includes ALL that did not work before.

Don't really know.

But my best guess is that it's maybe that the DVD now i region free... Right now everything tried work...

The only RPC1 firmware I could find was a _downgrade_ (from SB01 to SB00)

So I went from region protected SB01 to region free SB00
