newnigma2 service menu, osd settings activate picons
and maybe you have to do a symlink from /picons/piconHD to your usb flash drive folder
where the picons are storedProbleme kann man niemals mit derselben Denkweise lösen.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yes its seems i have to use symlink because in osd settings only appear flash.

Good evening to all, I read from different parts that to enable the reading by the DM520 / 525 of the picons in the USB stick you have to go in the menu - blue button - newnigma2 services - system tools - Expert menu and change the settings. But I do not have the expert menu item .... in system tools I have the following entries ... - System preferences - Manage additional software - StartService - Infobar Position - Keymap Selector. Where can I find the expert menu item? Thank you.

Hello everyone, unfortunately I still can not see the picons in the infobar in the channel list. I tried to change even the folder in the pendrive but to no avail. I also tried to run a symlink of the type ... "LN -S / MEDIA / HDD / piconSList" via telnet, but even this time I do not see any picon. Can someone help me ? Thank you.

Delete the folder /picons in root of the flash and create a symlink named picons pointing to where you store your picons and in that place you create subfolders /piconHD and /piconSList. In those subfolders you put the picons for infobar and service list.

- create a folder: /media/hdd/picons
- create two subfolders: /media/hdd/picons/piconHD and /media/hdd/picons/piconSList
- put your picons for infobar in media/hdd/picons/piconHD and put your picons for service list in /media/hdd/picons/piconSList
- delete the folder /picons in root of the flash
- create a symlink: ln -s /media/hdd/picons /picons -
It work perfect. Problem solved. Thanks.

And applying symlink?
-
If you want to use a symlink named picons, you have to delete the actual folder /picons first. Then create a symlink named picons in root, pointing to your picon folder.
If your stick is mounted in /media/hdd, look at posting #15 and follow the instructions, but you have to delete /picons first, in order to be able to create the symlink. -
ok now it works like you explain in your post thank you very much.
other question about picons do you know where is the option to activate the little picon when you push button up and see channel number picon name etc
