Hi As I have used the suomipoeka plugin for a long time that obviously don't exit for 3.0 (at least not yet) I ran into a small problem... How is it possible to view and enter directories in the movie view (pressing PVR). In 3.0 I press the menu button and can see that I can change a few view options, but none of them helps me. Hi all Approx 4 out of 10 bought DVD movies have problems playing in the DM8000 on 2.8.4 (maybe/probably on earlier releases as well). I have a Samsung DVD-RW+RW rev 083c. The problem could be not showing the menu and sometimes impossible to continue at all. A few DVDs even have problems playing in my MAC and in a windows and Linux PC with VLC. Do you open a movie from the PC to the DM800 which in turn mounts a CIFS share back on the PC you have as I client??? Why don't you open these locally on the PC? I have not seen any problem with hanging CIFS mounts. I have a DM8000 running 2.8.4 mounting a CIFS share on OpenBSD as well as on Linux. No problems like you describe... It worked flawlessly for me. BUT.... I have probably not used it hard enough to tell you I don't have the same problem as him. And I will probably not use it more if I cannot easily get rid of the TV sound. I wonder why it's not possible to just tune to a not used TV channel and then use MPD. Hi Just tried the mpd music package. Works flawlessly. Use MAC Theremin as a client. The dreambox music is actually on a CIFS share mounted by the dreambox that runs the mpd service. Question: Does anybody have a clue how to play the music through the mpd on the dreambox without at the same time listen to the TV channel. Hi I have a problem with my SPDIF out from the DM8000 to my Sony Receiver. Sometimes the relays click in the receiver and the speakers temporarily disconnects (could sometimes go 20 minutes between the problems). I will get a std phono/RCA cable to see if its related to the Receiver, the SPDIF cable or maybe the SPDIF out from my DM8000. I really hope it's not the DM8000....
