It for sure works to play all that works with 100mbit cable over a wifi as well. But slower startup times... Start a DVD movie ISO over the network with DVD player in DM takes less than a second on a 100Mbit cable connection and 10-15sec over wifi. Hi Trying to get a user friendly TV interface to people for looking remote. The dreambox web interface is not priority one. I have pasted URL:s from the dreambox web interface into a playlist in VLC which works ok... The question: However... It seems VLC has something called SAP or Service Discovery. The question is. Well.... I found the problem... The bug is in /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/WebInterface/plugin.py that checks hashed password against /etc/passwd. Added users have their hashed passwords in /etc/shadow and not in /etc/passwd. "adduser" is correct in this matter... I have only tested to modify the /etc/passwd and added the hashed string from /etc/shadow. After that the web interface works with users that have been added with "adduser". Hi I have done it before. But after the latest release that required a new image install instead of an update due to the kernel change I have forgot. And not I cannot find out how... Hi I have earlier posted about the annoying problem of DVDs that refused to play. Most stopped at the menu etc (search for my posts in the forum...) I have now done some experiments (I use a Samsung S083C DVD in my dreambox 8000 Newnigma2 3.0). I actually have two of these Samsung DVD:s. I have reflashed one of the from firmware SB01 to a SB00 RPC1 firmware that is region free. Now ALL tested DVD movies works in the Dreambox. That includes ALL that did not work before. /Per-Olov

I can see that from the picture. But I did not choose that feed. Also.. I think it actually was _you_ in a post that earlier said that standard installs (if not tampered with) always go from the stable feed. And that also make sense to me... I have not done anything on my newly installed 3.0 image but regular installs and config in the gui and fixed some users and symlinks on the command line. Tnx... That worked. Ok, so the DVD backup package that is needed was not ok it the default package list in the 3.0 image? I thought the package list was loaded from the mirror.... But it seems the list of available packages is local and can be updated manually when needed... /Per-Olov
